More snow.....

So we had a very beautiful weekend. Warm temps, reaching about 10 degrees or so, and we even got to wear our Spring jackets. Lovely day! Took the kids outdoors for a few walks, let Duncan ride his bike, and play with a few of their outdoorsy type toys that are only good for summertime. They had a blast! Then I check the weather for this week and it called for snow. I figure ok maybe (hopefully) they are wrong and it will be nice!! HA!! Nope. I was wrong. It is currently snowing.. SNOWING!!! I can't believe it. And it is freezing outside, and in the house! Oh my!! I want the snow to go away. It is beyond me how one day it is lovely outdoors then the next it snows. That is crazy. So once again the bike and outdoors toys have to be put away in the storage room again until the sun decides to come out again. Hard to explain to a child how one day they can ride their bike, then the next day tell them they can't, due to the snow on the ground. How confusing right! LOL I am so ready for the snow to be gone and the summer to be here.

Busy Day

SO today we had a busy day with the boys. Since we have been home quite a bit these past few weeks as we all have had our own bouts with the flu, I was determined to spend the whole day out with the kids. We went grocery shopping, dropped into WalMart to pick up a few things. Got a new pair of sneakers for Duncan, and some goodies. Then we went for a little drive around the city, sight-seeing if you will. Then we tried to go bowling. Duncan was all excited for that, the last time we went bowling was for his 2nd birthday and he loved it. However, we didn't realize you had to have a reservation to play. The lanes were all booked up for the entire day! I have never heard of having to make reservations before for a bowling alley. Probably because all the other bowling alleys I have been to in the past weren't as busy as this one, or perhaps bowling is just popular here on Prince Edward Island. I have no idea. In any event we ended up leaving with a reservation to play tomorrow afternoon at 3pm and having Duncan cry with heartbreak the whole way to the car..... :( Poor little guy, all he wanted was to go bowling... He didn't understand why we were there, and you could see all the lanes glowing with bright colours (it was glow bowling), the chatting of all the people playing, and the balls rolling down the lanes, only to turn around and leave again. But we explained everything to him and that we would be going there tomorrow after lunch. Boy was he heartbroken. But I am sure he will have such a blast tomorrow. I am so tired, but gonna stay up for a bit and watch Twilight tonight. I totally forgot it came out today and hubby was actualy the one who reminded me while we were driving around today that it in fact came out today! LOL Go figure. Never thought he would remember. I was so happy and surprised to find a few copies left in the video store, so I quickly grabbed one off the shelves and walked away so happy! Gonna watch it tonight a bit later. Can't wait! Busy Times

So hubby informed me the other day that another move might be in our near future.. huh! Just when I think we have finally settled down, we might have to pack up and leave yet again. I feel as though we have moved enough these past few years to do us a lifetime, boy was I wrong! If we do move, I just hope this is our last, as I really want a place to settle into and to call our own. I want to have a home that is called "our home" and not shift around from place to place. We have been here to PEI from Newfoundland for just over 2 years now, and that move was tough. Left behind all my friends and family back home, and have settled somewhat here. So I will be sad to leave, somewhat. Will keep you posted if we are moving or not. The funny thing is we are not sure when we will find out for sure, maybe another week, or two.. maybe a few days? Time will tell.

On a good note, my little boy seems to be getting better. We have all had a flu going around here on and off for the past month. One would get sick, then someone else got sick, then the first person who was sick got it again... it was pretty bad. But we are all pretty much better now. My little guy broke out into a rash a few days ago and the DR. says it will go away on it's own in a few days.. He says it was a viral thing he picked up, but no worries, all should be well soon. Well the rash is still there, looks like it is going away and my little guy is fussier than usual. But hopefully in a few more days the rash will be gone and he will be feeling much better.

I am excitedly anticipating Spring and subsequently Summer to head our way. Usually this time of year the weather takes a turn and goes from cold to warm, or at least on the plus side as far as temperatures go. Not the case this year, unfortunately. We are still in the minus here.. Enough with Winter I think! I say come out hot, sunny, warm days. I want to get outdoors to the park with the kids, and go for our walks, and play in the grass. Hopefully won't be too much longer now.

Blogging Debate

So I have been debating on blogging now for quite some time. Seems like it is the new "trend" and lots of people I know are doing it, and I have been reading up on their blogs for a few months now. I figured I would dabble with it a few times, but never did. Until now... I figured ok hey, enough putting it off, you know you want to blog so create your own blog and get it over with.. So I did that.. A few days ago. And here I am, HOOKED! I love it. I love the chance to talk about anything and everything, and share my stories. I am known as someone who loves to both talk AND listen, so hey what was I thinking putting it off for so long. So, this is officially my first entry on my own blog. I can't wait to come back and post another entry. Hope you enjoy reading my entries as much as I enjoy writing them, and that you decide you want to be a follower of my blog. Chat soon!
